How it works

Filled, sealed and cleared up

The damaged spot is cleaned out, filled with resin under pressure and cured. The repair restores strength to the glass and usually makes the chip much harder to see.

Best for small chips and star breaks that have not spread

I really regret having Penske repair my window chip, their technician did a decent job repairing the chip but he placed his tool box and used rags on the hood of my new Type R and scratched it, amateur hour, expected better from Penske

Why does a chip turn into a crack?

Temperature swings make the glass expand and contract, and road vibration adds stress. In Phoenix, a hot windshield and a blast of air conditioning can be enough to start a crack from a chip.

How big a chip can be repaired?

Small chips and star breaks are usually repairable. Larger damage, or damage right in the driver’s line of sight, may need a new windshield. A photo is usually enough for a first answer.

Does insurance cover chip repair?

Many policies with glass coverage pay for chip repair. We work directly with insurance companies and can help you check.

Will the chip disappear completely?

The repair restores strength and usually makes the chip much less visible, but a faint mark can remain. We will tell you what to expect before we start.
